Does Cakewalk intend upgrade folks to: - Abandon all old projects - Replace using?? Reverb and recreate the effect with some other plugin? - Copy over the vst from 8.5?

I tried the last step.l X1 will not load the plugin. So I paid for the plug in in 8.5, but I don't get to use it in X1. I hope someone can suggest how to get it to work in X1. X1 was clearly based on 8.5. So they it wasn't a matter of getting it to work in X1 rather, it was designed NOT to work in X1. I can understand that perhaps Lexicon may have asked for too much money the plugin, but to prevent a paid copy of the plugin from working, thats just Nasty. GuitarTig - Copy over the vst from 8.5?

Seth has already weighed in, but just to clarify.Pantheon.dll isn't a VST. It's a DX plug.so it's not as simple as just copying it to a VST folder.

If you own 8.5.you still own a license to run Pantheon.but you'll need to either reinstall it from your 8.5 media (recommended) or register it 'by hand' via regsvr32. And that's also a good reason to commit every track in a project once you're done with a mix., either by bouncing or freezing them. Made the mistake once w/ a plug-in from a manufacturer that went out of business - I never could recreate that exact phaser effect on one of the guitars. Every time I hear that mix, I wish I had captured that somewhere.
