PORTSMOUTH — Sultry singer and songwriter Chris Isaak is bringing his world tour to The Music Hall this Friday for an 'intimate' performance. Sponsored by 92.5 The River, the Intimately Yours concert series allows guests to experience renowned performers up-close-and personal inside the historic, 900-seat venue. Perhaps best-known for his sexy, Top 10 hit 'Wicked Game,' Isaak has been entertaining fans for three decades with his music being featured in films such as David Lynch's cult classic 'Blue Velvet' and Stanley Kubrick's 'Eyes Wide Shut.' His newest album, 'Mr. Lucky' explores the ups and downs of romance.

A: All the guys who recorded at 'Sun Studios' with Sam Phillips. He was the man who brought rock and roll to America. He recorded Elvis, Carl Perkins, Howling Wolf, Jerry Lee, Orbison, Johnny Cash — all in the very beginning and all in a tiny little room with less equipment than most kids have in their bedroom nowadays. The album I'm working on now is really my going back to the reason I got into music — that early rock and roll. It is so fun to sing these songs in my garage every day as we rehearse. And it really makes you remember how simple and wild and fun rock is supposed to be.

This next album is going to be really, really different. Q. Caveman Rocks Game there. : The song 'Wicked Game' definitely propelled you into a household name — will we be hearing that song when you come to town or have you retired that number?

I am not someone who retires songs. If people want to hear a hit or a song that they love, I try to make sure to play it for them. I want the audience to have fun. If somebody yells out a song I will try to throw it in. I wrote all these songs so I usually remember how to play them! Q.: Did you know that Wicked is our favorite word in New England?
