Hi, I am having an issue with my Meep tablet. I had got Nova launcher on it and was getting it set where I wanted it. I had just put the new settings file in the system/app file. I did not restart unit and instead tried to install it over the old one once I put it in the file. I then proceeded to open settings but the settings UI crashed. I decided to rename settings UI and Settings provider with 'bak' behind them since Settings was crashing and those were the items crashing. Needless to say I rebooted and now am stuck at the white MEEP screen with the multicolored pinwheel spinning at bottom.

Is there a way to get into recovery on this machine to format to factory, or get a MEEP firmware and use the upgrade button on back of unit to write over old firmware? I called Support and they said just exchange it LOL, I however like to figure things out.

If you tap to install over it /keep recopying without rebooting you will mess up the whole library. You can copy them to the right folder and change the permission but you need to REBOOT. The other option is to revive it by fresh update.

You can download the update.zip version 2.0 from meep website meeptablet dot com /ota copy the files to your sd card and insert the card back to your meep and i think its power and reset (i cant exactly remember which one) anyway just keep trying the buttons to force the update Another method if you did enable usb debugging (most likely not since you didnt reboot) Once the screen is on you can connect the usb cable to computer and open command prompt from computer and type adb reboot recovery.
