Music of Dan Fogelberg. 4-CD set I had absolutely forgotten about Dan Fogelberg and his music.

Even though I heard his music on the radio. Then I read about his passing away from Advanced Cancer. The same two cancers I have been diagnosed with, and he was taking the same Lupron I am taking. It struck me hard, and I began to hunt for his music CD's with a vengence. Ibm Jdk 6 Windows 7. Finding 12 of his CD's. Plus this boxed set of 'the music of Dan Fogelberg'.

Which I bid on and won. It hurts to listen to his music and his voice. But, let me tell you. If you have never listened to any of his music.

You will be surprised and delighted. He was the best. Begin with his 'best of Dan Fogelberg'. Then you will want more of his CD's.

For someone who wants to experience a true songmaster this is the best of Dan Fogelberg. The collection is split into four CD's that capture the many sides of this very talented man who left us way too soon. His hits are songs that many of us grew up loving, his ballads are carefully crafted music put to word. This man had a beautiful voice and was a gifted songwriter.

Many people will miss this golden voice and talent that has grown silent too soon.

There are Japanese remasters of his early albums - Souvenirs thru The Innocent Age, IIRC. I think they sound really good - Phoenix in particular sounds much better than the domestic CD. These are mini LP style packages which are really nice; all are gatefolds and have the colorfull Full Moon logo on the CD label matching the original labels color. I also think the Portait box set was really well done.

It sounds great and I actually kinda like the themed disks. I know many of you are sticklers for wanting compilations to be chronological but sometimes that's just boring. Oh, and Dan had plenty enough 'rock' songs to fill out a decent rock CD, even if that's not what he's known for.
